MANCHESTER, N.H. – Kate Morrell scored off a pass from Mary Pratt with 13:30 to go in the first overtime period as Thomas College posted a 2-1 women’s soccer win over Notre Dame College on Wednesday.
The same combination scored the first goal for the winners, with Morrell getting the goal and Pratt the assist. Shauna Lessard combined to stop 10 of 12 shots.
For Notre Dame College, Patti Botten had an unassisted goal. Katie Cherhoniak made 24 saves on 28 shots.
Bates 4, Colby 3
At Waterville, the Bobcats scored unanswered goals in the second half by Catherine Crosby, Krissie Whiting and Amanda Waterhouse as they knocked off Colby.
Crosby added an assist for 9-2 Bates. Melissa Ostuni scored in the first half. Kate Dockery and Kate Carroll also ahd an assist. Kim Martell stopped two of 24 shots.
Christine O’Donnell, Stephanie Hicks and Stacy Thurston provided a goal each for the 5-4-1 White Mules. Abby Kussell and Elizabeth Riley combined to stop 11 of 27 shots.
Field hockey
Southern Maine 1, Colby 0
At Gorham, Liza Barker scored off a pass from Renee Heath with 3:07 left as the Huskies edged the White Mules.
Jessie Superchi made six saves on nine shots for 8-6 Southern Maine.
Carrie Torrisi turned back six of nine shots for 7-4 Colby.
Men’s soccer
St. Joseph’s 2, Colby 1
At Standish, Noah Conway scored two goals Wednesday to propel the Monks to victory over the White Mules.
Conway came off the bench to score off a Mike Erickson assist at 18:27 of the first half, then added an unassisted second-half goal. Jeff Yaeger made 18 saves on 19 shots.
Chris French scored on a Jamie Lue assist for Colby of Waterville. David Friedman made nine saves on 11 shots.
