EASTON – Sabrina Butler tallied two goals plus an assist to lead the Fort Fairfield Tigers to a 4-0 schoolgirl soccer win over the Easton Bears in a Class D divisional prelim Thursday.

Maranda Butler and Brooke McCrum had a goal apiece for 5-9-1 Fort Fairfield. Kaylee Searles added an assist, and Dani Searles stopped one of eight shots.

Jessica Littlefield made 17 saves on 32 shots for the 2-11-2 Bears.

Class A

Nokomis 4, Lawrence 1

At Newport, Kristina Gonzalez scored two goals to lift the Warriors into the divisional quarterfinal round.

Danielle Clark added a goal off a direct kick for 7-7-1 Nokomis and Aimee Paradis converted a Michelle Murray pass. Lindsey Welch added an assist and Sara Lowe made four saves on seven shots.

Jess O’Hallaron scored off a Kara Turnage pass for 1-12-2 Lawrence of Fairfield and Jamie McGee made 15 saves on 30 shots.

Class B

MDI 2, Rockland 0

At Mount Desert, Kate Joseph and Tanya Kane provided the goals as the Trojans blanked the Tigers.

Emma Pope-Welch added an assist for 2-11-2 MDI. Sarah Johnson and Katrina Smith combined to stop six of eight shots.

Jessica Clark made 19 saves on 23 shots for the 0-15 Tigers.

Class C

Calais 1, Woodland 0

At Calais, Morgan Drew netted the game-winner with 28:51 left in the first half as the Blue Devils won the Downeast Athletic Conference championship.

Lanna Martin assisted on Drew’s goal. Katie Welch made nine saves on 10 shots.

Beth Covey stopped 11 of 17 shots for the Dragons.

Class D

Washburn 2, Wisdom 0

At St. Agatha, Liza Maynard and Anna Ouellette scored in the first half as the Beavers knocked off the Pioneers.

Amber Blakney and Kate McIntosh added an assist each for 4-9-2 Washburn. Morgan Sickles rejected four of 16 shots.

Christa Lizotte provided 6-9 Wisdom’s only goal. Shannon Berube stopped eight of 18 shots.

Katahdin 5, So. Aroostook 1

At Sherman Station, Tracy Willigar provided two goals as the Cougars rolled.

Kylee McAvoy and K.C. Duffy-Stanley provided a goal each for the winners, as did Krystal McMoarn. Angie Qualey made 11 saves on 15 shots.

Mindy Watson scored for the Warriors of Dyer Brook. Crystal Cameron stopped 22 of 49 shots.

Limestone 6, Gr. Houlton Chr. 0

At Limestone, Ashley Brooker knocked in three goals as the Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics rolled.

Kay Porter, Emily Rehmeyer and Lindsey Beaulieu added a goal each for 9-6 Limestone/MSSM. Emily Williams added an assist, and Nikki Michaud had to make just three saves on four shots.

Megan Jago stopped 13 of 27 shots for 2-6-1 Greater Houlton Christian.

Boys soccer

Class B

Bucksport 1, MCI 0

At Pittsfield, Caleb Grindle scored off an assist from James Booth with two minutes left in overtime to give the Golden Bucks the upset and their first victory of the season.

Grindle lofted a shot from about 30 yards out into the corner of the net for the 1-13-1 Bucks. Need to fine goalie made 11 saves on 19 shots.

Shawn Basford made six saves on 13 shots for 3-11-1 Maine Central Institute.

Class D

Jonesport-Beals 4, Woodland 0

At Jonesport, Ben Durkee knocked in two goals as the Royals blanked the Dragons.

Billy Merchant added a goal and an assist for the 3-10-2 Royals. Matt Bryant found the back of the net, and Abraham Beal stopped all 17 Woodland shots.

Aaron Moody made 36 saves on 42 shots for the 0-14-1 Dragons.

Southern Aroostook 4, Wisdom 3

At St. Agatha, Corey Edkins scored off an assist from Tom St. Pierre with 4:55 left in overtime to lift the Warriors of Dyer Brook.

Jarred Grant scored three goals for the 6-8-1 winners, including one off an assist from Mark Farnsworth with 10:36 left in regulation. Grant also had an unassisted goal and converted a penalty kick. Zac Philibert made 10 saves on 13 shots.

Wisdom took a 3-0 lead in the first half before SAHS scored two goals in the last 14 minutes of the half. Nick Berce and Andrew Gervais each scored unassisted goals for the 5-10 Pioneers and Sinclair scored off a pass from Gervais. Kenny Corriveau made 12 saves on 23 shots.

Highview Chr. 7, Lubec 4

At Charleston, Nick Waite and J.D. Starostin each had two goals as the Knights previaled.

Nate Richard and Gordon Lovell added a goal each for 5-7 Highview Christian. Anthony Kneeland had a goal plus an assist. Lovell, Dave Day and Aaron White all split time in net, and combined on 17 saves on 23 shots.

Noah Buehner led the 2-12 Hornets with three goals, and Cody Scoville added one. Jordan Hall made 15 saves on 30 shots.

Limestone 7, Katahdin 1

At Limestone, Dale Swanton and Christian Beck each scored three goals to lead the Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics into the divisional quarterfinals.

Ben Dow added a goal for the 7-7-1 winners and Beck recorded two assists. Swanton, Randy Morrison, Andrew Pelletier and Dan Patterson also added an assist apiece. Dominik Lobkowicz made seven saves on 12 shots.

Sam Cyr scored an unassisted for 0-15 Katahdin of Sherman Station and Chris McNally made 18 saves on 35 shots.

Central Aroostook 3, Easton 2

At Mars Hill, Andrew Grivois knocked in two goals to lead the Panthers to the win.

Arlie Wiggins added a goal and Ben McQuade added an assist for 7-6-2 Central Aroostook. Jonathan Boyd made 12 saves on 17 shots.

Steve Hopkins and Joe King provided the goals for the 1-12-1 Bears. Dana Warren stopped 27 of 39 shots.
