ELLSWORTH – Jeff Young of Gouldsboro used a wedge to ace the 130-yard, par 3, first hole Wednesday at the White Birches Golf Club. John Hutchins, Don Moore and J.C. Outlaw witnessed the feat.

HOLDEN – Keith Taber of Bangor recorded his first career ace on Friday afternoon at Woodland Terrace Golf Course. Taber holed a 7-iron on the 110-yard ninth hole. His shot was witnessed bby Mark Ginn of Bangor.
