Red Cross benefit bike race today

LINCOLN – A bike race to benefit the American Red Cross is set for 2 p.m. today at the Curtis Farm Road in Lincoln. For a donation of $5, cyclists can participate in seven distance categories ranging from 2 to 8 miles.

The course consists of a 1-mile lap and riders of all ages and ability levels are encouraged to participate. Participants should take I-95 to Howland, then follow Route 2 to the Curtis Farm Road.

Lincoln teenagers Matthew Swett and Tom Tash organized the race as a benefit for the victims of the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks.
