AUBURN – An Auburn man accused of fatally beating a neighbor two weeks ago was jailed over the weekend on a murder charge.

Robert Alley, 58, is accused of killing 54-year-old Raymond Thibodeau in the building where they both had apartments. Police said it was Alley who reported Thibodeau’s death on Sept 30.

Alley was arrested Friday night after being indicted by the Androscoggin County grand jury. He was being held without bail.
