Casting has begun for “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” a new horror-suspense movie to be shot in Bangor and other parts of northern Maine.

A traditional horror movie in the style of “Tales from the Crypt” and “Creepshow,” production will begin as soon as all the parts are cast. The producers also are looking for volunteers to help in the crew. As in most low-budget independent projects, there is no pay. This is a tremendous opportunity for anyone who wants experience in filmmaking.

EDGE Productions is a local film and TV group that has been making projects in Maine since the early 1990s.
