AUGUSTA – Kenneth “Skip” Hardt, apprenticeship director for the Maine Department of Labor, has been named to the National Apprenticeship Hall of Fame, which recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field of apprenticeship.
The United States Apprenticeship Association names two people to the Donald Grabowski National Apprenticeship Hall of Fame each year. Hardt was inducted at the 10th annual Apprenticeship Hall of Fame ceremony in August and his name was added to the recognition plaque that is displayed at the Frances Perkins Federal Building in Washington, D.C.
Hardt was selected for being a tireless proponent of the Maine Apprenticeship Program, forging links to employment and training with innovative programs in child care training and other new areas of apprenticeship.
