HARTFORD, Conn. – Jeanette Akerlund converted a pass from Sandra Kayulu at the 1:58 mark of the first overtime to lift Hartford over Maine 2-1 in women’s soccer action Friday.

It was the Hawks’ 11th consecutive win.

Malin Engman added a goal on a feed from Katie Gardiner for 11-2 Hartford. Anne Lise Nilssen recorded one save on three shots.

For the 5-4-3 Black Bears, Maija Kaldro netted an unassisted score. Naomi Welsh turned away seven of 14 shots.

Men’s soccer

Hartford 7, Maine 1

At Orono, Alon Lubezky scored five goals to lead Hartford to victory in America East men’s soccer action.

Lubezky scored three of Hartford’s four- first-half goals. Guy Primor assisted on four of Lubezky’s goals. Marcin Just and Joseph Patuleia also scored for Hartford. Rob Dow ended the shutout, scoring an unassisted goal.

Adam Maciaszczyk stopped two of nine shots for 1-10-1 Maine. Chris Doyle stopped four of five shots for 9-2-2 Hartford.
