Jen Johnstone
Jen Johnstone, a junior at the University of Maine has been named the America East field hockey player of the week. Johnstone had three goals and two assists helping Maine to two wins over Rhode Island and Quinnipiac.
Jeff Meinhart
Jeff Meinhard of the University of Maine at Farmington has been selected as the Webber Energy offensive soccer player of the week. Meinhart, a senior, scored four goals and had an assist in a 3-1 week.
Adam Lambert
Adam Lambert, a senior on the UM-Farmington men’s soccer team has been chosen as the Webber Energy defensive player of the week. Lambert anchored the Beaver defense to three shutout wins.
Mary Gill
Mary Gill of the St. Joseph’s College women’s soccer team has been named the Maine Athletic Conference offensive player of the week. Gill, a senior, had one goal and assists on two game-winning goals in three wins.
Kelly Premo
Kelly Premo, a senior midfielder on the St. Joseph’s women’s soccer team has been selected as the Maine Athletic Conference defensive player of the week. Premo dominated midfield in three wins and had two assists.
Alger Yanush
Alger Yanush of Maine Maritime Academy has been named the New England Football Conference defensive player of the week. Yanush had a total of 20 tackles with two tackles with total losses of 16 yards.
Mike Morrison
Mike Morrison, a senior goalie on the University of Maine men’s hockey team, has been named the Hockey East defensive player of the week. Morrison stopped 46 of 47 shots, 22 in the second period to hold North Dakota in a 5-1 win.
