Paul Willey of Bangor will be vying for his second straight Virtual Golf Association Tour championship and the $50,000 first prize next month at the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Fla.
Willey, 38, bested more than 22,000 personal computer golfers to reach the finals Nov. 19-20, when he will compete against three other finalists. LPGA Tour superstar Annika Sorenstam will present the $50,000 check to the winner.
The VGA Tour is an organization devoted to a season-long competition of golf play online and is located at Microsoft’s online gaming site, www.linkstour.zone.com.
