Would you like to be part of the Maine Outdoors? The Bangor Daily News is looking for sporting camp operators, guides, and sportsmen interested in sharing advice, observations, and personal experiences in the outdoors with BDN readers.

It may be a one-time submission, but we’re also looking for regulars who will stay with us and keep fellow sportsmen and women informed as the seasons change.

Sends us your e-mail or fax reports about woods and water conditions. Depending on the season, let other sportsmen know if deer sign is plentiful, or whether the fish are taking dry flies. If it rains or snows in your region this fall, let readers know if the changing weather appears to be improving or hurting the odds for hunters. Report what conditions are like on the popular hiking trails and those less traveled.

Use Maine Outdoors to relate experiences afield. Offer advice on safety, preparations, or techniques that have worked for you as a hunter, fisherman, or hiker.

The e-mail address is: bdnsports@bangordailynews.net. Fax: 990-8092.

For more information, contact sports editor Joe McLaughlin at 990-8229 or at 1-800-310-8600.
