White, Withee lead Ponies past Tigers

DEXTER – Danny White and Josh Withee scored two touchdowns each Saturday as Foxcroft Academy romped to a 39-0 LTC Class C football victory over Dexter.

White scored on a 25-yard pass from Withee and a 54-yard punt return. White also kicked three extra points for Foxcroft Academy.

Withee had two touchdown runs of 1 yard each. Derek Morong scored on a 4-yard run and Josh Sands had a 17-yard touchdown run for the Ponies.

Foxcroft Academy’s defense limited the Tigers to 70 yards in total offense.

Kevin Armstrong had 15 tackles for Dexter while Logan Schoenbacher made seven tackles and intercepted a pass.

Winslow 40, Brewer 15

At Winslow, Ricky Vigue piled up 123 yards on 22 carries and the Black Raiders scored 33 first-half points while sewing up the No. 1 seed for the playoffs.

Vigue scored three touchdowns – two on 1-yard runs and one on a 79-yard kickoff return.

Seth Emerson scored the first TD for 7-2 Brewer on a 6-yard run and Eric Trask added a 15-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

Josh Caldwell had 72 yards on 12 carries. Chris Cote added 50 yards on 11 carries and Emerson had 44 yards on 13 tries.

Brewer had 232 yards rushing.

Boothbay 49, Rockland 15

At Boothbay, Max Arsenault scored three touchdowns as the Seahawks cruised into the postseason.

Taylor Russell racked up 130 rushing yards for 7-2 Boothbay. Will Carroll passed for 113 yards and two scores.

Mike Curtis led the way for 1-8 Rockland with 19 carries for 178 yards.

Skowhegan 7, Oxford Hills 0

At South Paris, B.J. Dunlap threw a 10-yard scoring pass to Jared Walker late in the first half, giving the fourth-seeded Indians all the points they would need for a Pine Tree Conference quarterfinal upset of the No. 1 Vikings.

Walker led the Indians with 63 yards on 20 carries. Skowhegan has won four in a row.

Orono 34, John Bapst 6

At Cameron Stadium in Bangor, Ryan Levesque and Jason Mishou each ran for two touchdowns to lead the Red Riots past the Crusaders.

Ben Briggs opened the scoring for Orono, running in from 17 yards out in the first quarter.

After Alex Rand ran 8 yards for Bapst to cut the lead to 7-6, Mishou scampered 56 yards for his first TD.

In the third quarter, Levesque posted TD runs of 3 and 2 yards, and Mishou closed out the scoring with a 6-yard run. Levesque was 4-for-4 on extra-point kicks.

Levesque finished with 159 yards on 16 carries, and Mishou added 95 yards on 11 carries.

Rand picked up 105 yards on 27 carries for the Crusaders, and Colin Glass made 10 tackles.
