Health program slated for cancer victims

A health program for women with cancer or those recovering from cancer called “Look Good … Feel Better” will hold sessions in November at the following locations:

BANGOR: 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, Eastern Maine Medical Center. Call Randa Shirland at 973-8108 for more information.

FORT KENT: 1-3 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5, Northern Maine Medical Center on East Main Street. Call Bea Daigle at 834-3155 for more information.

LEWISTON: 10 a.m.-noon, Wednesday, Nov. 14, Central Maine Medical Center. Call Sandi Piper at 345-9048 for more information.

NORWAY: 2-4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, Stephens Memorial Hospital. Contact the oncology department at 743-5933 for more information.

BATH-BRUNSWICK: 1-3 p.m., Monday, Nov. 26, ACS office. Call Debbie Seybold at (800) 464-3102, Ext. 3708, for more information.

CARIBOU: 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 25, Cary Medical Center. Call Prudy Dobson at 498-3111 for more information.

The “Look Good … Feel Better” program is a partnership among The American Cancer Society, the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association Foundation and the National Cosmetology Association to help women who have appearance-related side effects from chemotherapy or radiation treatment for any form of cancer. One-on-one appointments can be provided as needed by calling (800) ACS-2345.
