CUTLER – Paul Vane of the Communications Division of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic Detachment in Cutler has been selected as Civilian of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2001.

According to the announcement of the award by B.J. Vane, the public affairs officer for the Cutler detachment, Vane consistently performs his duties as AN/FRT-31 transmitter operator, electronics mechanic helper and operations supply clerk in an exemplary and professional manner.

He has played a vital role in the Communications Department by establishing a smooth-running, highly efficient supply system that has resulted in saving numerous man-hours and has ensured that the Communications Division has a 99.9 percent reliability rate for transmitter operations.

David Burns, industrial equipment mechanic, and Cynthia Nation, budget assistant, were also nominees for the award, Vane said.
