Brew-ha-ha

Raise your pint glasses for the Maine Brewers’ Festival, this Saturday at the Portland Expo. Admission costs $19 in advance, $20 at the door, and includes a souvenir tasting glass and 12 sampling tickets, so you can taste some of Maine’s best brews. In addition to live music, Maine State Lottery games and other exhibitors at the festival, the Portland Fire Department will have a booth there to raise funds for thermal-imaging cameras. A New New Moon

The New Moon – formerly the New Moon Caf? – has reopened at 49 Park St. (on the hill behind City Hall) with a new, art deco-inspired logo, a soothing interior, an open kitchen and a very cool bar area. New Moon is open for dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 5 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The bar stays open between 11:30 and midnight on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
