Boys

Big School (Classes A-B)

Bryan Snyder

John Bapst of Bangor senior midfielder-forward Snyder scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Crusaders beat Caribou 1-0 in the Oct. 27 Eastern Maine Class B soccer title game and successfully defended their 2000 crown.

Small School (Classes C-D)

Alexander Brunton

Brunton, a senior at Sumner of East Sullivan, had a winning time of 17:21 in the Eastern Maine Class C cross country championship Oct. 27. Brunton was one of five Sumner runners to place in the top 10 as the Tigers won the EM Class C title.

Girls

Big School (Classes A-B)

Robin Albert

Skowhegan senior back Albert knocked in the game-winning goal with 1:50 left in the second overtime period to lift the Indians field hockey team to a 1-0 victory over Messalonskee of Oakland in the Eastern Maine Class A final Oct. 27.

Small School (Classes C-D)

Kristy Albee

Washington Academy senior Albee won the Eastern Maine Class D cross country race with a time of 21:22, leading the Raiders of East Machias to a 53-54 victory Oct. 27 over Downeast Athletic Conference rival Woodland for WA’s first regional cross country title.
