Part one of the $12 million bond issue designating $10 million to address the affordable housing crisis in Maine makes good sense. There are many low-income families that could benefit from this package.

Part two of the bond issue designating the remaining $2 million to provide housing for victims of domestic violence makes me wonder one thing. Why aren’t the low-life abusers of these victims kicking in the $2 million needed for this project? Or better yet, why aren’t the abusers looking for housing, and the victims living in the houses belonging to this scum?

It seems easier to ask the taxpayers to kick in the money needed for this worthwhile project instead of holding the people responsible accountable for their actions.
