More than 200 competitors are expected to participate in Sunday’s Sixth Annual Maine Skirmish Grappling Championships at the Winslow High School gymnasium beginning at 10:30 a.m. The skirmish is sponsored by Huard’s Ju-jitsu Karate of Winslow.
Junior competitors, ages 5-16, will kick things off with sumo wrestling before turning to grappling. The adults will take over at approximately 2 p.m. and will compete in grappling, ju-jitsu, judo, submission fighting, Russian sombo, wrestling and pankration in three weight classes. Tickets are $7 at the door. Tickets are $7 at the door.
