Stetson man indicted for threatening

BANGOR – The Penobscot County grand jury handed up indictments Monday, including one against a Stetson man who broke into a Corinna woman’s home and threatened her with a knife.

Adam J. Fogg, 21, was indicted on charges of burglary, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and assault.

Authorities said Fogg was wearing a mask when he broke into the woman’s home shortly before midnight Oct. 24. He held a knife and ordered her to remove her clothes, according to authorities. The woman, who had a young child in the home, was able to talk Fogg out of harming her. Police caught up with an intoxicated Fogg early the next morning and arrested him.

The grand jury also indicted Shane Rolfe, whom Bangor-area police say is implicated in an extensive car burglary operation in which participants would take orders for items and then try to steal the items from motor vehicles. The burglaries occurred in at least six communities as well as at the University of Maine. Some of the stolen items were sold for far less than their value, including tools taken from a hydroelectric facility in Veazie that were valued at $3,000 and sold for about $50.
