I read with interest how Bangor Hydro opposed Irving Faunce’s nomination but was endorsed anyway to the Public Utilities Commission (BDN, Oct. 24).
Bangor Hydro charges more for electricity than any other place in the country including states like Montana, North and South Dakota and Nevada that have vast empty regions and no population.
We do not need a Hydro system that one month needs a rate increase because they don’t have enough surplus power for the grid and next month needs an increase because they have a power surplus.
This shows what Bangor Hydro needs and it isn’t a rate increase.
