Pvt. Kristin Lee of Milo enlisted on Sept. 21 as the newest member of the 1136th Transportation Company, Maine Army National Guard located in Bangor. Her grandfather retired Brig. Gen. Robert S. Lee administered the oath during halftime of the University of Maine football game on Military Appreciation Day. Her brother is Pfc. Brian Lee.

She is scheduled to graduate from Penquis Valley High School in June 2003. She plans to attend the University of Maine upon graduating from high school.

Pvt. Lee is the daughter of Scott and Kathy Lee of Milo. She was an integral part of Penquis Valley High School’s girls soccer team this season.

She will begin active duty training on June 18, 2002, at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and will be assigned as a motor transport operator for the 1136th when she returns.

Pfc. Brian Lee of Milo successfully completed basic training and advanced individual training as a motor transport operator for the 1136th Transportation Company, Maine Army National Guard, located in Bangor.

Pfc. Lee is the son of Scott and Kathy Lee of Milo. He will graduate from college essentially debt-free. Both parents were able to attend his graduation from basic training.

Pvt. Timothy Michaud of Lincoln enlisted on Sept. 27 as the newest member of Detachment 1, 152nd Maintenance Company, Maine Army National Guard located in Bangor.

He is a 2000 graduate of Mattanawcook Academy and is employed by Circuit City in Bangor. He plans to attend the University of Maine.

Pvt. Michaud is the son of Roger and Sidsel Michaud of Lincoln.

He will begin active duty training on Feb. 12, 2002, at Fort Sill, Okla., and will be assigned as a wheeled vehicle repairer when he returns.
