PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – Tom Brown, a 2000 Paralympic 2.4-meter bronze medalist from Northeast Harbor, won the silver medal in the 2001 International Foundation of Disabled Sailing World Disabled Sailing Championships.

Brown competed in the 14-boat, 2.4-meter class at the championships, which were held in Florida Oct. 24-31. The event included 62 competitors from nine countries.
