HALIFAX, Nova Scotia – Orrington’s Shawn Morrison is $1,250 wealthier after winning the singles championship at the World Team Candlepin Bowling Championship at the Fairlanes Bowling Center on Monday.
Morrison, who bowls with the Brewer-based Maine Heat team, defeated Chip Carson of Bangor in the finals of the singles tourney 125-111. Carson bowls for the Lucky 7 team out of Brockton, Mass.
