Holy guacamole. Jane Sanford (BDN, Nov. 12) compares Bangor International Airport’s stepped-up efforts regarding airport security in these tumultuous times to the tactics used by the Nazis. She writes that she will not fly from Bangor or use American Airlines until Gov. Angus King apologizes to Nancy Oden for the “treatment” she endured trying to board an aircraft at BIA.
I’m sure after the governor meets this request, she’ll fire off an explanation to the families and survivors of the Holocaust, the war in Europe and all the turmoil that ensued explaining why, with our nationwide crisis that has seen thousands of unnecessary deaths (the vehicle through which being our own airliners), that the inconvenience of one woman’s schedule and “personal space” stacks up to what the Nazis dealt.
