HARTFORD, Conn. – Colby running back Aaron Stepka was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Offensive Rookie of the Year Thursday.

Colby of Waterville also placed senior wide receiver Danny Noyes, senior offensive lineman Brian Wezowicz and junior linebacker Mike Moran on the first team. Noyes was the only repeat first-team honoree on offense. Junior running back Sean Atkins of Bates of Lewiston, a second-team selection a year ago, also earned first-team honors.

Second-team selections included senior offensive lineman Mike Mulholland of Bowdoin in Brunswick, senior defensive lineman Leroy Gaines of Bowdoin, junior defensive lineman Michael DiStefano of Colby, senior defensive back Patrick Fahey of Colby and sophomore defensive lineman Kurt Chapman of Bates.
