KENNEBUNKPORT – About 250 peace activists demonstrated near the summer home of former President Bush during the weekend.

The group met at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church on Saturday for a series of speeches before embarking on a short march to Walker’s Point. The group beat drums and waved banners and signs during the demonstration for global peace.

The demonstrators stopped near the Secret Service checkpoint and did not try to go onto the property, said Police Chief Robert Sullivan.
