MADAWASKA – The School Department is looking for a superintendent.
Thomas Scott, superintendent for the past nine years, is retiring July 1. His retirement was announced in October.
The search is beginning this week with advertisements. The school committee will serve as the search committee.
Scott has been with the Madawaska School Department 17 years. Before coming to Madawaska, Scott was a teacher and principal with SAD 33.
Scott started teaching in SAD 33 after graduating from the University of Maine at Fort Kent in 1970. When he left SAD 33 he was principal of the Dr. Levesque Elementary School.
