He was crossing the intersection with North Main Street to Maysville Street when a 1993 Jeep driven by Gloria Perry, 50, of New Sweden struck his 1992 Oldsmobile on the left rear side.
Officer Roger Ellis of the Presque Isle Police Department said Perry, who was headed south on North Main Street, failed to stop for a red light before colliding with the other car.
Theriault suffered unspecified minor injuries in the crash. He was taken by Crown Ambulance to The Aroostook Medical Center, was treated and later released, according to Ellis. Both Theriault and Perry were wearing seat belts.Theriault’s car had an estimated $5,000 in damage, Ellis said, and is probably a total loss. The Perry vehicle had about $3,000 in damage, according to the officer.
