Hidden Agendas

Wendy Chamberlain, the U.S. ambassador to Pakistan, is fasting during the month of Ramadan to show sensitivity toward Islam. Should it not be the other way around, that the Islamic world should show sensitivity toward the West, especially to the United States? After all, it is the Islam which produced all these terrorists. What is Ms. Chamberlain going to do next, convert to Islam?

There is not a single Islamic country which gave unqualified support to the United States in its war against terrorism. All these countries have their hidden agendas for their qualified support. Pakistan was on the brink, a failing state with crushing foreign debt. The United States promised to pay $2 billion for the use of their territory and facilities for waging this war against terrorism. It was Pakistan that helped create the Taliban.

The Western societies, in general, are very tolerant in every sense of the word. These terrorists and their sympathizers are taking full advantage of that.
