AUGUSTA – The State Planning Office reported Tuesday that the statewide average price for a gallon of home heating oil was down another cent this week, to $1.12 a gallon.
The latest average is 44 cents less than one year ago.
Statewide, prices ranged from a low of 90 cents a gallon in southwestern Maine up to $1.22 in northern sections.
Kerosene dropped a penny to an average of $1.41 a gallon, while propane was unchanged from last week at $1.43.
