BANGOR – Arcady Music Festival will continue its winter concert series with holiday concerts by the Cantus Choir, a men’s ensemble from Minnesota.

The singers, all under 25, will perform a varied program of Christmas carols, works sung in Latin, and a piece in Russian by composer Pavel Tschesnokov.

The group also will sing “Betelemehu,” a song in the Yoruba dialect by African composer Via Olatunji.

Concerts will be held at:

. 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, Holy Redeemer Church, Bar Harbor.

. 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, Unitarian Universalist Church, Park Street.

. 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, Con-gregational Church, Dover-Foxcroft.

. 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, First Baptist Church, Belfast.

The Bar Harbor concert will include a performance by 16-year-old pianist Kate Petitt of Gorham, one of the 2001 Youth Arcady Competition winners.

Cantus was founded in 1995 when a few friends decided to keep singing together after their days in the male chorus at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. The singers made their first tour of the East Coast in 1998.

Arcady Music Society has appointed a new executive director. Patricia Ciraulo of Bar Harbor will take over the position on Jan. 1.
