A South Portland man, Richard Brown, has been named president of the Maine Professional Drivers Association for 2002-03.

Robert Fernald of Cape Elizabeth was named vice president; Terry Stuart of Hollis was named secretary; Pam Rogers of Yarmouth was named treasurer; Dave Stuart of Hollis was named head of publicity; Peter Mortensen of Biddeford was named membership officer; Cliff Gray of Augusta was named driving championships officer; and Roger Sproul of Augusta was named legislative officer.

The association was formed in 1989 to promote safety, courtesy and professionalism in the trucking industry.
