Ex-Olympian to tour Maine schools
Julie Parisien, three-time U.S. Olympic skier (1992, 1994, 1998) and Auburn native, will tour schools while spreading the message of long-term health through outdoor fun.
The second Julie Parisien Winter Tour is a main component of WinterKids,” the Portland-based organization that promotes children’s health by advocating participation in winter activities.
The tour will visit Telstar Middle School (Dec. 4, 9 a.m.) and Woodstock Elementary (Dec. 4, 10:30 a.m.) in Bethel, Oxford Hills (Dec. 7, 10:45 a.m.) in South Paris, Mary Snow School (Dec. 11, 2 p.m.) in Bangor, Georgie Jack School (Dec. 19, 1:30 p.m.) in Standish and Manchester-Arlington (Dec. 19, 9:30 a.m.) in Windham.
