Former Falmouth High School soccer player Roger Levesque scored two goals Friday as Stanford beat the University of Portland 3-1 in the third round of the NCAA men’s soccer tournament.
Levesque, a junior and the PAC-10 player of the year, opened the scoring 17:46 into the game and then closed out the scoring with less than seven minutes remaining in the match.
Stanford will play St. Louis, a 3-0 winner over Loyola (Md.), in one of Friday’s quarterfinal matches.
