AUGUSTA – The State Planning Office reported Monday that the average price for home heating oil in Maine had fallen for the ninth week in a row to $1.11 a gallon.
Prices in most parts of the state were down, but remained unchanged in central and northern sections.
Some customers in northern Maine also were paying the highest price at $1.22 a gallon, while those in southwestern areas could get some of the best deals at 90 cents a gallon.
Kerosene was unchanged from last week, holding at $1.40 a gallon. Propane was down one penny to an average of $1.42.
