HOULTON – New Books New Readers is an informational reading and discussion group using children’s books to improve a parent’s “first teacher” skills and the reading comprehension skills of any adult. Susan York will lead the group’s discussion and invites participants to attend the December session on the topic of friendship in Room 111 of the Houlton Higher Education Center. The session will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 14.
Registration is not required, but participants are asked to stop by the office of adult education at the Houlton Higher Education Center and pick up the three books that will be used during the discussion. For information call 521-3154.
