CASTINE – The Castine Arts Association is holding two cooking classes this month.
Harry Kaiserian will teach how to work with phyllo dough in Armenian cooking at noon Friday, Dec. 7, at 181 Perkins St. in Castine. The menu will feature cheese and spinach pie, Greek salad, braised lamb, rice pilaf and borma (similar to baklava). The cost is $15 for CAA members and $20 for nonmembers.
Nancy Watson will focus on Indian banquet-style food in her class at noon Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the kitchen of The Manor Inn in Castine. That menu will include masalas, lamb Korma Kofta with three different relishes, dessert and wine. The cost is $12 for members and $17 for nonmembers.
Because the class size is limited, call Peggy Rogers to reserve a place at 326-8020.
