BAILEYVILLE – Julie White, senior environmental engineer, was unanimously elected regional committee chair for the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement’s Northeast Region.
She will serve as chair for the next three years.
White has been active with the NCASI for the past several years and was commended by the committee for her “considerable contributions in the form of committee activities and presentations at past regional meetings.” NCASI’s Northeast committee is composed of scientists and industry representatives from several paper companies and consulting firms throughout the Northeast.
White is a graduate of the University of Maine and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. She is active in the university’s Pulp and Paper Foundation and has been with Domtar’s Woodland mill since 1991.
