A liturgical composer and artist, Haas has performed to full houses in Bangor on numerous occasions.
He is the director of The Emmaus Center for Music, Prayer and Ministry and the campus minister at Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School in St. Louis Park, Minn.
Haas has produced more than 25 collections of original liturgical music, much of which is sung in churches throughout Maine.
“Star Child” is an Advent and Christmas musical event by Haas and Lori True.
The evening also will include new arrangements of traditional carols and hymns.
“Come join us for an evening of hope and healing this Advent season,” said Kathy Jellison, music director at St. Mary’s. “Together we will sing, pray and cry out to the Child of joy and peace.
“The evening will include scripture, reflection and wisdom from heroes past and present, prayer and the music of David Haas’ newest Christmas collection,” she said.
