Thompson’s 20 powers Beavers

WASHBURN – Jason Thompson scored 10 of his team-high 20 points in the second quarter as the Washburn boys basketball team rolled to a 67-54 victory over Fort Fairfield Wednesday in high school action.

Darren Pesut chipped in with 16 points and nine rebounds for the Beavers and Jesse Maynard netted 10 points.

James McLaughlin paced the Tigers with 21 points and Aaron Kenneson put in 15.
