With fewer than two weeks remaining until Christmas, most people still have lots of things they’d like to do to prepare for this very special holiday in a meaningful way.

Many people are including a donation to the Santa’s Helper Fund on their lists of things to do, and some have already checked it off.

Sincere thanks go out from the Santa’s Helper Fund workers, The Salvation Army, and all who will be directly served by the generosity of this year’s contributors. To date, $30,882.79 has been raised toward the $50,000 goal.

Today’s contributions to the Santa’s Helper Fund include: third-graders at 14th Street School, Karen Achorn-Ingalls’ class, Bangor, $25; Bulk Mail Made Easy, Orrington, $50; Delma and Donald Parks, Winterport, $25; George and Julie Kesaris, Northeast Harbor, $100; Bill and Marguerite Wolever, Hampden, $100; Colleen Thompson and Aunt Erin, Holden, $15; Mr. and Mrs. E. Leonard Ritchie, Perry, $25; in memory of Irene Bradford from her niece, Andrea Thurlow, Atkinson, $100; and Joe, Cram and Margot Crary and Sara Willis, Blue Hill, $100.
