HOULTON – Pat Skall, Mark Caggiano and Will Toner scored unanswered third-period goals to supply the Orono Red Riots with a 4-2 high school hockey win over the Houlton-Hodgdon Blackhawks Saturday at Millar Arena.
Orono’s Branislav Srnka and Houlton-Hodgdon’s Ben Carton had swapped second-period goals.
Toner and Mike Merritt had two assists apiece with Skall and Evan James collecting one each. Anthony Hegstrom made 18 saves for the 2-0 winners.
Jared Sylvia had the other Blackhawk goal with Carton and David Carmichael each collecting an assist. Brandon Carmichael made 21 saves for 0-4 Houlton-Hodgdon.

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor, Zach Means scored seven goals and had two assists to lead 2-1 John Bapst to the win.
John Motta had three goals and four assists while Taylor Lynn added three goals with three assists. Colby Theriault scored a goal and had two assists while Kyle Maynard tallied six assists and Billy Chapman added a goal. Dan Leighton and Jamie Hardy combined for 19 saves on 24 shots.
Corey Beaulieu had three goals for Foxcroft Academy while Will Edgerley and Seth Gabarro each scored one and Derek Smith had two assists. Josh Sands, Hunter Wilbur, Brandon Johnson and Mike Freese all recorded assists while Dan Perkins faced 44 shots and stopped 29 for 0-1 Foxcroft.

At Dayton Arena in Brunswick Friday night, Will Prescott had a hat trick and A.J. Hayes scored twice as Brewer won for the first time after two losses.
Jamison Cocklin had a goal and an assist for Brewer. Robbie Hayes, Andy Pooler and Josh Caldwell had assists and Justin Boober and Rob Elliott combined for 23 saves.
Brian Gill scored both goals for 2-2 Brunswick and Ryan Mateyko made 37 saves.

Hollan Oliver scored 14 points for Deer Isle-Stonington while Meghan Wiberg had 13 and Leanna Murphy chipped in with 10.
