Amanda Leavitt

Amanda Leavitt, a freshman guard at the University of Southern Maine, has been named the Little East Conference rookie of the week. Leavitt scored 17 points, shooting 62.5 percent from the floor in a win over Salem State.

Stacey Gelinas

Stacey Gelinas of St. Joseph’s College has been chosen as the Maine Athletic Conference and Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association player of the week. Gelinas, a senior, scored 25 points, and had six rebounds, four steals and three assists in a win over Plymouth State.

Laura Pelkey

Laura Pelkey of St. Joseph’s College has been selected as the Maine Athletic Conference and Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association rookie of the week. Pelkey scored 12 points and had seven rebounds in an 11-point win.

Amanda Pepin

Amanda Pepin of the University of Maine at Farmington has been chosen as one of the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association rookies of the week. Pepin had 17 points in a win at Salem State and scored a team high 19 in a loss over New England.

Robert Pilsbury

Robert Pilsbury, a guard on the Husson College men’s basketball team has been named the Webber Energy player of the week. Pilsbury scored 35 points in a win over Thomas, with seven three-pointers.

Monica Peterson

Monica Peterson, a freshman forward on the University of Maine women’s basketball team has been selected as the America East Conference Spalding player of the week. Peterson scored eight points and had 14 rebounds in a win over Fordham.
