The Maine Inventors Forum will meet 6:30-8 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the University of Maine School of Law at USM. The first meeting of the new year will take place Tuesday, Jan. 8, in Rooms A and B of the Woodbury Campus Center, Bedford Street, Portland. The public is invited to attend.

The forum is a place for inventors and entrepreneurs to discuss ideas with each other, and to learn about legal, financial, technical and related subjects of interest. Each meeting is followed by a social-professional networking time.

The Maine Patent Program of the University of Maine School of Law, sponsor of MIF, also holds seminars designed for inventors and entrepreneurs, not a legal audience. The next seminar, “Legal Strategies for Protecting Your Inventions and Brands: Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law basics,” will take place 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in the School of Law.

For information on these free programs contact Galadriel Ricci at 874-6521.
