BANGOR – City Hall was evacuated Wednesday morning after a leak in a steam line caused the fire alarm to sound, according to city officials.

Fire crews emptied the downtown building shortly after responding the scene at about 10:45 a.m. Employees were allowed to return to work at about 11:15 a.m. after the source of the leak was discovered in a small room under a stairway, according to City Manager Edward Barrett.
