Again this year, employees of several area businesses have pooled their resources and made a generous contribution to the Santa’s Helper Fund. Today’s contributions included checks and cash from the employees of Brewer Automotive Components, $127; and employees at ZF Lemforder Corp., Brewer, $719.53.

Donations also arrived from Ward and Jessie Carter, in memory of Eleanor E. Carlisle, Ellsworth, $20; Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Stairs, Hampden, $25; George E. Hartman, LaGrange, $100; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Philbrick, Hampden, $50; Katherine Peasley, in memory of Fred and Millie Snow, Brooksville, $25; Brooke and Shawn Gordon, in memory of Tim Gordon and Harold Gordon, Orrington, $200; Mr. and Mrs. Weston A. Bubar, Hartland, $50; Angelo and Lillian Zanchi, Bangor, $35; and Nicholas and Laura Morse, in memory of their grandfather Roland Morse, Cherryfield, $25.

Contributions also came from: in memory of Marie (Nana) Johnson from Betty and Shannon, Pembroke, $15; Janice A. Barr, in loving memory of her husband, Benjamin Barr Sr., and nephew George C. Williams, Millinocket, $25; Lillian Hodgdon, Bernard, $25; Jim and Noni Ugone, Fort Fairfield, $50; Brenda S. McKenna, Lamoine, $25; Jim and Pam Power, Veazie, $100; Roger and Greta Choquet of Green Valley, Ariz., $25; in memory of their grampy Dub from Michael, Kara-Beth, Gary, Matthew, Jackie and Virginia, Bangor, $30; and Jim, Joanne Lavoie and family, Old Town, $20. Contributing anonymously: Monroe $20; Brewer $25.

Altogether, today’s donations brought the total received to $44,925.29, and we are so grateful to all who have made donations to the Santa’s Helper Fund, all of which will be forwarded to the Salvation Army so that they may serve the people who have reached out to them for assistance.

Donations may be sent to Santa’s Helper Fund, P.O. Box 1329, Bangor 04402-1329. Names and donation amounts will be published in the Santa’s Helper column in the Bangor Daily News. Donors who prefer to remain anonymous will be listed as such, followed by donation amounts. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
