MOUNT DESERT – Bracey Barker poured in 21 points to lead undefeated Mount Desert Island to a 61-21 schoolgirl basketball win over Hancock County rival Bucksport Friday night.

Shelley Gott added 15 points for MDI. MDI jumped out to an early 16-5 lead and never led by less than 10 points for the rest of the game.

Jill Richards led Bucksport with seven points.

At Danforth, James Godley and Darius Parker netted 24 points apiece as the Vikings emerged victorious.

Godley and Parker combined for seven 3-pointers, while Richard Byers added 12 points and 20 rebounds. Josh Faulkner added 12 points and nine rebounds for East Grand and Rhett Mortland hauled in eight rebounds. Godley dished out five assists.

Brandon Emerson led the Knights with 16 points, including four 3-pointers. Luke Shaw scored 14 points, Steven Knapp 13, and Mike Beal nine for Narraguagus.

At Houlton, Matt Michaud scored three goals and handed out four assists to lead the Minutemen to their third win of the season.

Tyler Pelkey added two goals and an assist, while Josh Moore notched a goal and three assists for Stearns. Kyle Madore, Drew Somers and Sean Jamieson each netted a goal for the Minutemen.

Josh Buzzell scored two goals and dished out an assist for the Indians. David Marley, Josh Fournier, and Nick Buck each contributed a goal for Old Town. Marley also had one assist.

Nick Simon recorded 33 saves for the Minutemen as they moved to 3-2. J.P. Stowe stopped 33 shots for 1-4 Old Town.
