The Southwest Harbor Medical Center clinic committee will sponsor a free vegetarian cooking class at Mount Desert Island High School’s home economics kitchen. Regina Ploucquet, who runs the West of Eden bed and breakfast in the Tremont village of Seal Cove, will teach the four-week class. Maine milk model

Andrea Owens, a 16-year-old from Oxford, was chosen from more than 37,000 contestants nationwide to pose in the newest “Got Milk?” ad. She entered when the Chocolate Milk Mustache Mobile tour rolled into Portland last September and was flown to New York City for a professional photo shoot. She and two other winners will appear in an upcoming issue of Inside Stuff, the official magazine of the National Basketball Association.
