BANGOR – Organizers invite local artisans to participate in the Folk Arts Marketplace Aug. 23-25 at the National Folk Festival in Bangor. The free three-day event along the Bangor waterfront, is a celebration of the region’s diverse music, dance, arts, food and traditional crafts.

Local and regional artisans are invited to apply to be a vendor in the “Folk Arts Marketplace,” an area for traditional artists to sell and demonstrate their work. The festival intends to focus on traditional crafts that reflect the cultures of the region (Maine and Atlantic Canada), along with the arts of newer immigrant groups. For more information, call the Folk Festival office at 1-800-91-MOOSE.
