BANGOR – Officials from the Eastern Agency on Aging attended a recent state meeting of AARP in Freeport to receive an award for outreach.
Jud Dolphin, state director for AARP, presented the plaque to Roberta Downey, executive director of EAA, and Carol Higgins, director of communications for the agency.
The plaque read:
“This award is presented to Eastern Maine Area Agency on Aging, Bangor, Maine, in recognition of their outstanding efforts on the 2001 Public Benefit Outreach Project by AARP Maine, on behalf of the many residents of northern Maine who benefited from those efforts.”
